Earlier this year I shared with my newsletter audience that I was looking for a new printer for my self-published books. I have been happily working with the same printer for the past 4 years, but then the global paper shortage hit and- gasp- my printer wasn’t taking any new orders!
So I asked all of you, “Which self-publishing companies have you used to print your books?” And you came up with a lot of options!
A List of Self-Publishing OptionsOther than KDP and IngramSpark
KDP and IngramSpark are always viable options for self-published authors. But I like to have choices!
Here are some of the suggested printers for self-published authors that you shared with me. I have not vetted or worked with any of these printers myself so I can’t speak to their quality. But I know that endlessly searching the internet for options is exhausting! So try starting with this list (in no particular order):
This list is composed of authors around the United States, some of whom are members of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. I have not worked directly with any of these printers so cannot share my personal experience with them.
I will continue to share what I find as I search for a printer for my fourth self-published children’s book. Have you found a great printer for your book who isn’t on this list? Please share in the comments!
