As authors, we're all interested in having more readers find and enjoy our books, right? And because there are so many ways for readers to find us online, it can sometimes feel a bit daunting to know where to focus our marketing efforts.
So let's try to narrow that list a bit. That’s why I'm sharing 3 strategies and resources you can use to have readers find you online!
#1- Have a Great Author Website
As an aspiring or self-published author, having your own website is incredibly important. But there’s a big difference between having a site that simply exists to “check a box” and having an author website that is engaging, intentional, up-to-date, and designed to connect with readers.
Instagram recently announced a new Search Engine Optimization (SEO) feature on their site. SEO is basically a fancy way of saying that your Instagram page can show up in more searches by users, which is great for smaller accounts!
I'm going to be honest here and say that I haven't had much success with Facebook ads for book sales. But I know that many people have. And that's why I'm always looking for some new resources to help me learn more!
